We have several activities in our beautiful villa for you to enjoy, and we also encourage you to explore the beautiful tropical island around you.

Visiting Isla Mujeres is like discovering a magic world which all visitors would like to call their second home. At first sight, Isla Mujeres, many different worlds are combined by a common factor: the genuine flavor of the Mexican Caribbean.

Isla Mujeres is a unique place, it is a small peaceful island less than five miles long (8 km approx.) just a 20 minute boat ride from Cancun. This beautiful island combines the beauty of the Caribbean, the dense tropical jungle and the wonderful heritage of the Mayan civilization. It stands out as one of Mexico’s natural treasures, a truly delightful paradise on earth. Isla Mujeres has a lot to offer. You will find specialty, international and regional restaurants, beach clubs, Caribbean shows, swimming with dolphins, Whale Sharks watching (may-sep), turtle farm and much more to discover.

    Isla Mujeres has been home to the giant sea turtles, which lay their eggs on its soft sand, from May to September. The turtle farm is located on the southern part of the island, and is supported by Mexican government and private funds.

    The Mayan archaeological site “El Meco” and the Ixchell Mayan temple is Strategically located on the coast in front of Isla Mujeres, dating from 200-300 A.D, El Meco is thought to have been an important point for navigation during the post-classic Maya period along the peninsula; it is related to Isla Mujeres and had strong relationships with its inhabitants.

    Isla Mujeres was also the site of many sea battles between colonial ships and pirates. Hacienda Mundaca was built by Fermín Mundaca de Marecheaga, a pirate and slave trader that sought refuge on the island after fighting against the British Navy in 1860. The hacienda includes walls, arches, exotic plants, gardens, birds breeding place, cattle and orchard. It is located on the road to Garrafon, 3.5 kilometers before Playa Lancheros and Playa Paraíso.

    Garrafón is Isla Mujeres´ natural park, named after a unique reef with shallow waters and soft currents that allow us to discover the beauty of the Caribbean’s underwater life. The park is famous for its colorful fish that swim around you and for the coral reef that surrounds it. You can snorkel, admire the corals, sunbathe, visit the aquarium, enjoy seafood or fast food, buy handicrafts, folk and beach wear. Open daily from 8:30 A.M. to 6:30 P.M.
